Cranium Cadoo Board Games Recalled Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Cranium Cadoo Board Games

Units: About 38,000

Importer: Cranium Inc., of Seattle, Wash.

Hazard: The surface paint on the die contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: Only the die found in Cranium Cadoo board games with lot numbers 2007195 through 2007244 are included in the recall. The Cranium Cadoo game is packaged in a square cardboard box with an orange background. The seven digit lot number is printed under the plastic tray on the bottom half of the box.

Sold at: Fred Meyer, Kmart, Shopko, Wal-Mart and specialty game stores nationwide between October 2007 through January 2008 for about $20.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should immediately dispose of the die and contact Cranium Inc. to receive a free replacement die.

CPSC Recall

Sears and Kmart Recall Play Stoves Due to Tip-over Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: “My First Kenmore” Play Stoves

Units: About 17,000

Retailers: Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Kmart Corp., of Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Hazard: A metal bracket connecting the door to the stove can cause a tip-over when the door is opened. This poses a risk of injury to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: Sears has received one report of the product tipping over, resulting in bruises to a child.

Description: The self-assembled, wooden play stove is painted pink with six white knobs and a timer. The dimensions of the stove when assembled are 11 1/2” W x 13 3/4” D x 32 7/8” H.

Sold at: Sears and Kmart stores nationwide from September 2007 through November 2007 for about $100.

Manufactured in: Taiwan

Remedy: Consumers should immediately remove and discard the bracket that connects the door to the stove to eliminate the hazard. Consumers may obtain updated assembly instructions by contacting Sears/Kmart or by visiting either firm’s Web site. In some products, the updated assembly instructions are already included and replacement instructions are not required.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

Thank you to everyone who showered me with Christmas gifts!  It was so thoughtful of you and you are too, too kind.

It was very appreciated and reminds me once again that I have the BEST job in the world and have the most amazing kiddos and families in our studio.

It is a blessing to go to “work” everyday and know that I get to interact and engage with each of you.  Thank you for allowing me to work with your child and your family each week.

Demo Class



Would you like to sneak a peek into our Kindermusik classroom before enrolling?  Now is the time to attend a Demo Class and view all the benefits of Kindermusik first hand.  You will spend 45 minutes singing, playing, and dancing with your child and will understand why 99% of Kindermusik parents recommend the program to other parents!

Kindermusik classes are divided by age, but you can bring any children age birth to 7 to our Demo Class as we will be having a Family Time class.

Open Studio Time

Need somewhere to go during the cold weather??  Are your children missing Kindermusik class and all their favorite instruments?  Then you need to come to our Open Studio Play Times during January!!

This is a parent/child play time, so you will need to remain with your child and supervise your child at all times.  Feel free to bring a friend!

We will have the hula hoops, Gertie balls, musical instruments, puzzles, books, chalkboard wall and more.

The cost is $3 per child or $5 for multiple children in the same family (only 3 children per parent please).

Space is limited to 20 children per play time, so RSVP today to reserve your spot.
