Make a Volcano Today!

Place a small paper cup on top of an upside-down plastic bowl. Wrap it in play dough to make a volcano. Pour 1/4 cup white vinegar, two squirts of dish washing liquid, and several drops of red and yellow food coloring into the “mouth” of the volcano. Spoon a heaping teaspoon of baking soda and watch the eruption! For instant replays, alternate adding a little more baking soda and vinegar.

Kindermusik in South Africa

Here’s a video of a Kindermusik class in South Africa taken by KM’s President Michael Dougherty. The children are HIV positive or orphans, yet experiencing the same magic we experience each week through the joy of Kindermusik.

And watch for the little camera ham; you can’t miss him!

Thanks Molly McGinn!

A Fun Website

Here’s a website one of our moms clued me into. Thanks Carie Beth!
They have on-line books they read, with activities to go along with the theme, and printable activities. Then they give a reading list to correlate with the theme.

Everyone needs a little slime!

Here’s a fun activity for summer.

Mix one cup water with two cups cornstarch and stir.

You will get a gooey, slimy substance that is oh so fun to play with. You can even add food coloring to change the appearance.
Try holding it in your hand and rolling it into a ball. Then open your hand and watch it ooze through your fingers. Very fun!
