Some of you have asked just how much work had to be done on the studio…and I just laugh! The truth of the matter is that we did a lot of work to make it what it is now. The only thing that existed in the space was the bathroom.
I didn’t want to show any photos until it was all done, because I didn’t want to scare you off : ) So, now that I have a moment of free time, here are some before and after photos of our new space.
There wasn’t even a finished wall on one end.
And definitely no flooring.
This is now our waiting area and my storage room.
And just look at it now!!!
I’m now fully official with my shingle hung on my door.

I have a new shop open where you can purchase a variety of Kindermusik clothing items for your child…and you!

We are going to hold our first ever Bring a Friend Month during the month of November. If you have wanted to show a friend what Kindermusik is all about, now is the time!
You may bring a friend (and parents) to your class this month as a preview into our Kindermusik studio. Have more than one friend that wants to see what you do each week? Bring one friend the first week, and the other friend the next week! You simply need to alert me the week you’ll be bringing your friend/s.
And…there will be a prize for the first five families who’s friend pre-enrolls for the Spring Semester. You and your friend who enrolls will receive a surprise gift.

Needless to say, our convention was at a beautiful hotel in Schaumburg. After entering the bathroom, and turning on the lights, I was greeted with this.
Yes, you are correct, that’s a TV in the mirror. I never knew until last week that I actually need a TV in the mirror. No more straining around the corner to catch the weather!

Words could not possibly describe how much I learned at the Kindermusik Convention last week. I came home ready to implement every single piece of knowledge I took away…immediately. Of course, that’s not possible, but I do hope you will see a refreshed, renewed Miss Laura ready to take on the world and ready to help your child enjoy this amazing seven year journey we’re on together.
On Saturday evening, we had our end of convention banquet to have fun and celebrate each other and the wonderful Kindermusik programs going on around the world.
I know I’m not in my yoga pants on the floor, so for a reference, that’s me on the end : )

I love flowers; flowers in vases, flowers in my garden, flowers at a greenhouse. But I really, really love flowers in a plastic cup given by a student!!

Here’s another great read for the 3-5ish age group.
It’s a great story about a little boy who’s not excited about the new school year starting…until he meets Miss Smith and her storybook. It’s a magical storybook that brings the characters to life, but becomes trouble when Miss Smith isn’t there to finish the stories.
It’s a very cute read with vivid illustrations. It can be found at the Olathe Library…but you’ll have to wait until Reece is ready to give it back : )
